Suzanne Murphy, the head of strategic development at $5.1 billion long/short credit shop Claren Road Asset Management, left the firm in mid-August.Murphy joined Claren Road in April 2009 in a newly created position “focused on expanding the firm’s brand, as well as managing Claren Road’s business development and investor relations platform,” according to the firm’s marketing materials. Murphy came to Claren Road from merchant bank Tri-Artisan Partners, where she founded a hedge fund and private equity consulting practice. Before Tri-Artisan, Murphy was managing director at Delphi Capital Management, the holding company for Acorn Advisory Capital and Pergamon Partners.
