Tonight--er, June 9--is gonna be a good, good night for Robin Hood.
The darling of the hedge fund charity circuit announced a list of stars that will join mega group The Black Eyed Peas at “Concert 4 NYC” in Central Park on June 9. Performing with the global rap-pop stars are Natasha Bedingfield, MC Hammer, Debbie Harry, LL Cool J and Carole King, with appearances by Zach Braff, Whoopi Goldberg, Jimmy Smits and others.
Last week, 54,000 free tickets were distributed via lottery and passes are still available through Chase, the lead sponsor. As part of the partnership with The Black Eyed Peas, Robin Hood will fund the opening of three “Peapod Academies,” which will support disadvantaged city youth by providing music and artistic education, according to a Robin Hood press release.
