Jim Simons and John Paulson were among the hedge fund managers and firms who supported the “Autism Speaks to Wall Street” celebrity chef gala in early October. The fourth annual event, held at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street, raised a record $1.6 million in support of science and advocacy organization Autism Speaks.The Simons Foundation has been the largest and most consistent contributor to the event, part of the Renaissance Technologies founder’s support of autism causes.
